The software has been created as common application for security hybrid platforms functioning all together with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the identical look and functionality on the local and apart workstations. Users watch MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software via network that security computer can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration considerably improves reliability because all parts operate as autonomous applications. If one unit stops working, other parts go on working. For instance if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` part. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant station via Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
